Jake Andrews – In The Shadows
Check out the titular track from Jake Andrews’ 2017 album “In The Shadows”! A born and raised Austinite, Andrews grew up consumed by the Live Music Capital scene; He learned the guitar at 5-years-old from his dad John Andrews of the 60s Roots Band Mother Earth and got his start at 8-years-old at Antone’s opening for legends such as Albert King, B.B. King, Albert Collins, Buddy Guy, Otis Rush, and Jimmie Vaughan. We’re lucky to have Andrews performing at Sun Radiothon at 5 p.m. on July 24th! Ella Reid – Half Moon
Don’t miss the titular track of Ella Reid’s two-week-old EP, “Half Moon”! With a folk-pop sound, Reid explores getting through the mess of the human experience in her latest work. Reid is rooted in Texas and has been creating music alongside her husband-bassist-producer Shane “Sonny” Hawkinson for over a decade. Grackles – There Will Be Time –
Next, check out Grackles’ single “There Will Be Time,” which released in June! Grackles is “an 8 piece country, rock, blues explosion” that formed back in 2022 made up of many seasoned musicians. With two singles released already this summer, the band is teasing their second album “GRACKLES DEUX- THE GRACKLING.” We’re so excited to have Grackles performing at Sun Radiothon at noon on July 25th! Andrea Magee – Wild Women
Be sure to check out Andrea Magee’s new single, “Wild Women,” which releases today, July 18th! Born and raised in Belfast, Magee moved to the United States just over 10 years ago to pursue her music ambitions. Wielding a bodhran, a traditional Celtic drum, and a multiple other instruments, Magee blends her cultural heritage throughout her music. Magee founded Music Helps, a non-profit organization, which provides music workshops for children at Helping Hand Home for Children. Additionally, Magee is the festival director for She Rises Fest, an annual event in New Mexico that celebrates women in music and the arts, which is where “Wild Women” will have its release show!
