Loris is a lifelong radio veteran who has been on the Austin airwaves for decades. A steadfast supporter of local artists, she’s played thousands of songs from local bands on the air, and has conducted hundreds of interviews with Austin musicians on her “Local Licks” show on KLBJ-FM, and considers them a treasure.

She’s also interviewed international artists such as Sting, Aerosmith, Lenny Kravitz, Steve Earle, and countless others in her career.

Fundamentally devoted to the essential art of a true professional DJ, she still gets deep satisfaction from discovering new and emerging music from both local and national artists and bringing them wider attention. Loris was twice awarded Music Director of the Year by the industry trades.

In addition to being an on-air personality at KGSR and Austin City Limits Radio, she produced and hosted the all-Texas music show called “Lone Star State of Mind” for several years.

Her love of live music borders on obsession, and you can often find her near the stage, showing her support.
