Mayeux & Broussard’s music is a grit-soaked celebration of living well without having it all, rooted in the band’s philosophy that life’s still good even when you’re “stoned and broke down.” Trading songwriting and vocals, Tate Mayeux brings a hazy, cosmic-country drawl shaped by Texas Hill Country and Austin’s outlaw past, while Brian Broussard counters with swampy, hard-edged songs born from Southeast Texas refinery towns and blues-soaked tradition.
