We had the pleasure of welcoming Ed Jurdi and Gordy Quist of Austin’s own The Band of Heathens into the Sun Radio studios recently for a special in-studio session. The two played a few songs from their new record Country Sides and sat down with Suzanna Choffel to talk about the making of the album, the recording process, and how the band splits up songwriting between members.
It also turned into a bit of a Pisces gathering in the studio. Suzanna and Gordy just celebrated their birthdays on Wednesday and Thursday, with Ed’s coming up on March 9th. The afternoon included cupcakes, a few laughs, and plenty of good music.
