The summer season is just around the corner in Central Texas, but the towering live oaks at Moontower Saloon kept things cool and comfortable for another unforgettable night of Texas Radio Live on Wednesday, May 13th. With a packed crowd gathered under the trees, the evening showcased two rising Texas acts helping shape the next wave of roots and country music. Sour Bridges kicked things off with an energetic set full of danceable Texas grooves that had the crowd moving from the very first song. In between sets, the excitement kept rolling as one lucky guest walked away with ACL Fest tickets during our live giveaway.

Closing out the night, Calder Allen delivered a sweeping set of atmospheric country songwriting that perfectly matched the warm South Austin evening. His blend of heartfelt storytelling and expansive Texas sound made for a memorable finale to another special Texas Radio Live broadcast. Nights like these are exactly what Texas Radio Live is all about — great music, community, and unforgettable moments under the South Austin sky. We’re already counting down the days until next month’s Texas Radio Live, where we’ll do it all over again with another incredible lineup, live from Moontower Saloon and broadcast across Central Texas on Sun Radio.

A big thank you to everyone who came out to support the show and the Sun Radio Foundation. Texas Radio Live is our monthly fundraiser that helps keep Sun Radio on the air while supporting live music here in Central Texas.
