This week’s Loris’ DEBUT at NOON brings a fresh wave of brand-new music from artists who are breaking molds, blending genres, and leveling up their sound. From Texas legends to emerging talents and daring new collaborations, Loris is serving up tracks worthy of an instant add to your playlist. Here’s what hit the airwaves this week.

The Wild Pines – Time

The Wild Pines are a folk-pop duo made up of musicians Lauren Patton and Charlie John, whose 2025 single “Time” highlights their warm harmonies and emotional songwriting. Though living in different states, the pair collaborate through shared voice notes, crafting songs that feel intimate, thoughtful, and deeply connected.

MG Gossi & The Jade Helm – Hard Headed Woman

Through My Eyes is the debut EP from Central Texas Americana songwriter Marcos Gossi, marking his first release since moving back to Gillespie County 11 years ago. The collection draws deeply from the Hill Country, capturing porchlight waltzes, warm summer nights, and the quiet reflections that come from living close to the land. Anchoring the EP is “Hard Headed Woman,” a standout track that showcases Gossi’s lived-in storytelling and grounded, roots-forward sound.

Mags Baker – Trouble

Mags Baker crafts warm, uplifting folk-Americana with a dreamy edge, blending rich harmonies, ukulele, keys, and looper pedals into songs rooted in love, resilience, and everyday beauty. Based in Lockhart, Texas—with frequent trips to Austin—her sound has been described as Paul Simon meets the Indigo Girls, pairing heartfelt storytelling with an airy, inviting feel. A proud HAAM member and active part of Central Texas’ creative community, Mags recently released her single “Trouble”,  which earned a Song of the Year nomination from Folk Alliance International.

Calloway and The Prickly Pears – Jackson (feat. Ruby Dice)

A longtime fixture of the downtown Austin music scene, Calloway Ritch has spent the past decade playing in a wide range of projects, building a reputation as a versatile and deeply rooted performer. With his band Calloway and The Prickly Pears, Ritch channels a funky, roots-driven blend of blues, soul, and country, shaped by the many influences he’s absorbed since moving to Texas in 2012. The band’s sound is loose yet intentional, honoring tradition while adding their own swagger. Here, with frequent collaborator Ruby Dice, they take on the classic song “Jackson,” written by Billy Edd Wheeler and Jerry Leiber, and famously recorded by Johnny Cash and June Carter, reimagining it with their signature Central Texas groove.

The Watters – Can’t Stop (Thinking About You)

The Watters return with their next single, “Can’t Stop”, from the upcoming EP RESET, a song that explores the thin line between love and obsession and the slippery slope into addiction. With nearly twenty years of musical collaboration, husband-and-wife duo Daniel and Jenna Watters have honed a sound they call “Americana Soul,” seamlessly blending soul, rock, and jazz into something both timeless and immediate. Often described as “Fleetwood Mac with a horn section,” the pair have developed their signature style across seven albums under various monikers, releasing their debut as The Watters in 2016. Now a celebrated staple of the Austin music scene, they’ve built a devoted following through stirring vocals and road-tested musicianship, sharing stages with artists like Michael McDonald, The Revivalists, Allen Stone, and Devon Gilfillian.
