In 2017, in honor of legendary rocker Tom Petty, Sun Radio led the charge for the City Of Austin to declare by formal proclamation Oct. 20th officially Tom Petty Day in Austin, Texas. We succeeded, and 4 years later are still committed to honoring the late music legend.

In celebration of Tom Petty’s 71st birthday, Sun Radio presents the 4th annual Tom Petty Day on Wednesday, October 20th with music all day from the music icon’s 40+ year catalogue! Hear local artist tributes and covers of Tom Petty’s music as well throughout the day.

Join us that evening from 7-8pm for Texas Radio Live at Guero’s Taco Bar for a special performance from Austin’s premiere Tom Petty tribute band, The Damn Torpedoes.
